Youth Rope Competiton

The ACCNL and Wallnuts Climbing Centre are proud to announce the first ever nationally sanctioned climbing competition in Newfoundland and Labrador. On February 16th, we will see competitors aged 18 and under compete for a spot on the podium. Competitors registered with the national competition body will be eligible points for national ranking.

Format for the competition will be a scramble format top rope qualifier. Climbers will climb up to 12 routes with limited attempts on each route. Athletes will receive scores for how far they progress within each route. Their total score will be made up of their 3 highest scores. The older divisions will be move on to an onsight lead final.

More information will become available as we draw closer to the event. We hope to see as many young climbers come out to experience competition and make this event a success and show the rest of the country that we know how to climb!
